Privacy Policy

1.1. Information you give us. When you request a quote, book a service, or contact us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, the approximate square footage of your home, the services you selected, your preferred date and arrival window, and any notes you choose to send us. We ask only for what we need to quote the work and show up at the right place at the right time.

1.2. Payment information. We do not collect, see, or store your card number. Online payments are processed by Square, Inc. on Square-hosted checkout pages. Square handles your card details under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS obligations. We receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits of the card.

1.3. Information collected automatically. Our website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. This places cookies in your browser and collects your approximate location (city level), device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring site. We have not enabled Google Signals, advertising personalization, or cross-device tracking. We do not sell this data.

1.4. Job photographs. We photograph work areas before and after service for documentation and quality control, as described in Section 6.2 of our Terms and Conditions of Service. We may use these photographs in marketing only where no address, house number, face, or other personally identifying information is visible. You may opt out of marketing use at any time by written notice.

2.1. Permitted uses. We use your information to quote and schedule your service, to route our crew to your property, to process payment, to send booking confirmations and arrival reminders, to respond to your questions, to follow up after a job, and to keep the business records we are required to keep — including Texas sales tax records.

2.2. Marketing communications. We may email or text you about your booking at any time, because those messages are part of delivering the service you bought. We will send promotional messages only to customers and prospects who have contacted us, and every promotional message includes a way to opt out. Replying STOP to any text stops texts.

2.3. What we never do. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We do not share your service address with data brokers, lead aggregators, or advertising networks.

3.1. Service providers. We share the minimum necessary information with the vendors that run our business: Square (payment processing), Google (Workspace email, Sheets used as our customer record, Calendar for scheduling, and Analytics), and Vercel (website hosting). Each processes data under its own privacy terms and only to provide services to us.

3.2. Subcontractors. Where we use a qualified subcontractor to perform Services, as permitted by Section 6.8 of our Terms, that subcontractor receives your name, service address, contact number, and scope of work — nothing else.

3.3. Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of any person.

3.4. Business transfer. If the business or substantially all of its assets are sold, customer records may transfer to the acquirer as part of that transaction. Any acquirer remains bound by this policy with respect to information collected before the transfer, unless you are given notice and an opportunity to opt out.

4.1. How long we keep it. We keep customer and job records for as long as needed to service the account and to satisfy tax, accounting, and legal obligations — generally four years for records supporting a Texas sales tax filing. Quote requests that never became jobs are deleted on request, and otherwise retained for up to two years.

4.2. Security. We limit access to customer records to the owners and crew who need them, use access-controlled accounts with multi-factor authentication where the vendor supports it, and do not store card numbers on any system we control. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5.1. Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@austinwashco.com. We will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to keep records we are legally required to retain, and we will tell you if that is the case.

5.2. Texas residents. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives Texas residents rights to confirm, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights, or to appeal a decision we make about a request, email hello@austinwashco.com.

5.3. Analytics opt-out. You can block analytics cookies through your browser settings or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking them does not affect your ability to browse the site, request a quote, or book a service.

5.4. Children's information. Our services are directed to homeowners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

6.1. Changes to this policy. If we change this policy we will post the revised version here and update the effective date above. Material changes affecting how we use information already collected will be communicated by email to affected customers where we have an address on file.
